Derek Richard Thomas has been the Singer and Guitarist in a band called Vista Kicks for the past 10 years. In that time they opened up for The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, & The Kooks. 6 Albums and several US and European tours later, the band is now on an official hiatus.

Born in Chico, CA and raised in Roseville, CA, DRT honed his skills crooning the American Songbook of the greats singing the standards sung by Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Sam Cooke and more.

DRT has produced and arranged several albums, for artists such as Vista Kicks, Hail Maries, Triona O’ Neill and himself. The Record Label IN THE DRT is a place for artists to grow. It’s a community of many different creatives who network together like organisms in a soil diversifying and recycling nutrients.
